Conditions
of Use of the City Learning Centre
The computer system and the facilites in the centre are owned by the
City Learning Centre and are made available to users:
• to
further students education.
• to provide a calm and supportive environment for members of the
public to develop and practise their IT skills.
• to provide professional IT and communications services to local
businesses.
• to support local community groups by providing affordable facilities
to help further their aims.
• to assist teaching and school support staff in enhancing their professional
activites including teaching, research, administration and management.
• to use the facilities for recreational purposes outside school hours.
Above
all, the CLC seeks to provide all these services in a relaxed, friendly,
calm and safe environment. To help in achieving these aims and for
protection of all users the policies on the following pages have been
developed concerning internet access, acceptable standards of conduct
and the action which CLC staff are authorised to take to safeguard
the well-being of CLC users.
Acceptance
of and compliance with these policies is a necessary condition
for ALL users.
